La forma de pensar que dio lugar a la Revolución Industrial del siglo XIX se basaba principalmente en criterios de crecimiento económico y social, originando un desarrollo cuyos principales efectos negativos han sido la explotación sin medida de los recursos naturales y la contaminación del planeta como nunca antes se había podido imaginar.
Madera representa el resurgir de la vida a partir de algo aparentemente inerte. Existe, dentro de cada ser que estuvo vivo, un legado genético, un código capaz de recrear lo que éste fue y permitir su evolución más allá del espacio y del tiempo.
The way of thinking that came up to the 19th century Industrial Revolution was primary based on economic and social growth criteria, originating a development which most negative influences have been an out of control exploitation of the natural resources of the planet and its contamination like never before could be imagined. Wood represent the comeback of life itself from something which is apparently inert. There exists, inside every being that ever lived, a genetic legacy, a code capable of recreating what it was once and of allowing its evolution beyond space and time.

Neurocosmos 2010
La intención creadora flota en un espacio infinito, una gran concentración de energía en su interior anhela encontrar un lugar donde anidar y eclosionar. La pretensión de diversidad, generar vida en sus múltiples representaciones, algunas condenadas a la extinción por inadaptación o por mero devenir de su destino; otras evolucionando hacia estructuras más sofisticadas. Aparecerán los cerebros, y las mentes alojadas en ellos idearán sistemas de comunicación y colectividad, se asociarán cada vez más y seguirán creciendo en complejidad y tamaño hasta no caber en el nido.
The creation intention floats in an infinite space; a great concentration of energy in its interior yearns for finding a place within to nest and hatch. The desired diversity, generating life on its multiple shapes, some doomed to extinction by either inadaptability or just by the chance of destiny; sometimes evoluting to more sophisticated structures. There will be brains, and the minds residing in them will create communication and irrigation systems, they will be more associated and will continue growing in complexity and size until they would not be able to stay in the nest anymore.

Cuántica 2009
La percepción como límite de nuestra consciencia... posibilidad de vida en un entorno virtual. Dentro de este hábitat existen probabilidades que propician la construcción de nuevas realidades que se concretan a voluntad del individuo y su inherente atracción de dichas posibilidades. El potencial cuántico depende de las interacciones entre las partículas del sistema y el contexto, y cualquier suceso, por muy irreal que parezca, posee una probabilidad de que suceda.
The perception as limit of our consciousness... possibility of life in a virtual environment. Within this habitat there are likely to foster the construction of new realities that materialize at will of the individual and their inherent attraction of such possibilities. The quantum potential depends on interactions between particles of the system and the context, and any event, however unreal it may seem, it has a probability of occurrence.

Homeostasis 2009
Inspirada en el concepto de homeostasis, creado por Claude Bernard en el siglo XIX. El término, procedente del griego: homeo (similar) y stasis (posición), hace referencia a la tendencia de los organismos vivos y otros sistemas a adaptarse a las nuevas condiciones y mantener el equilibrio a pesar de los cambios.
La comprensión de la Humanidad o incluso la completa Biosfera, como un superorganismo que debe adaptar su conducta para hacer sostenible su existencia, evoca la teoría de Gaia, ideada por Lovelock en 1969, donde se describe a una entidad compleja que implica a la biosfera, atmósfera, océanos y tierra; constituyendo en su totalidad un sistema cibernético o retroalimentado que busca un entorno físico y químico óptimo para la vida en el planeta.
Inspired by the concept of homeostasis, defined by Claude Bernard in the 19th century. The term, originates from Greek: homeo (similar) and stasis (standing still), references the living organisms and other systems tendency to adapt to new conditions and maintain the equilibrium against the changes.
The comprehension of Humanity or even of the whole Biosphere, as a super organism which must adapt its behaviour to make a sustainable existence. This brings to mind the Gaia hypothesis, proposed by Lovelock in 1969, where he describes a complex interacting system integrated by the biosphere, atmosphere, oceans and earth; either completely conforming a cybernetic system or as a feedback that looks for a physical and chemical environment optimal for life in the planet.

Átomo 2007-2010
Alegoría del comienzo de la existencia. De un lugar donde no había nada, la energía comienza a materializarse. Efervescencia de átomos convulsos que se dispersan y se agregan, ávidos por enlazarse para crear estructuras más complejas.
Allegory of the beginning of existence. From a place where there was void, energy begins to concret itself into matter. Effervescence of convulsed atoms that break up and aggregate, thirsty for linking and creating more complex structures.

Piedra 2005-2010
La huella física, el fósil como prueba de vida hoy extinta, sinergia entre lo vivo y la
materia inerte como legado de existencia en otro tiempo. Carente de energía salvo la
que mantiene unidos sus átomos, el calor se fue, quedando visible la entropía del suceso ¿dónde fue a
parar lo acontecido? lo vivido e interpretado por las mentes... el vestigio del pensamiento
más allá de lo transmitido conscientemente.
The physical trace, the fossil as evidence of nowadays extinct life, synergy between life and inert matter as a legacy of existence in other time. With no more energy than what maintains the bond of its atoms, the heat is gone, leaving visible the entropy of the event, where did it go what took place before? The lived and the interpreted by the minds...the trace of thinking beyond what was transmitted consciously.
